Jumpstart programs typically last three to four weeks with the goal of deploying a working enterprise directory integrated with corporate applications.  The quick-start program consists of the following phases.

Discovery

This phase typically lasts 4 to 5 days and consists of the following activities:

  • Survey the existing applications and the directories they currently use.
  • Determine the best candidates for initial source directories and for initial application integration.
  • Identify major issues associated with the current directory schemas.
  • Identify key quick-start participants.
  • Establish roles and responsibilities.
  • Setup test environment hardware.

Prototyping

This phase typically lasts 3 to 4 days and consists of the following activities:

  • Create an initial directory schema based on IDM 360™ standards and add critical custom fields if needed.
  • Deploy IDM 360™ in a test/development environment.
  • Setup the administrative console.

Integration

This phase typically lasts 4 to 5 days and consists of the following activities:

  • Create initial synchronization feed between candidate source directory and IDM 360™ central directory.
  • Create Single Sign-on integration between IDM 360 and test application (sample apps can be provided if test application is unavailable).
  • Re-point test application to IDM 360™ central directory.

Assessment

This phase typically lasts 3 to 4 days and consists of the following activities:

  • Determine issues and challenges based on the jumpstart progress.
  • Identify subsequent target directories and application for migration.
  • Determine critical customization requirements.
  • Plan next steps.
